The idea for The Dressing Room Series came about over a tall, soy, no foam, extra hot chai tea latte in a cozy corner of my neighbourhood Starbucks chatting with my then boyfriend (now FIANCE! ) Christopher John Orme (Silent 'e' or it sounds narcissistic) We were planning my 35th Again Birthday party which I had decided was a GIRLS ONLY soiree. He was slightly offended, but then he realized he was working and had to tend to the dead (he really does work in the FUNERAL business and girls, I have stories for you that will blow your mind ... but I can't tell due to privacy laws etc. but, if you only knew!)

As we were discussing, or more like I was telling him what I was planning to do, the thought to 'tape my girlfriends for my new website came instantly to mind! My girls are some of the brightest and smartest and kindest and talkative (with a few exceptions) women I know and love. "They'll do it!" I said, without ever thinking they wouldn't or would object or be too camera shy. And I did say that out loud, and so loud, that the Barrista shot me a glance and Chris shook his head like he usually does. Oh well. What a perfect way to highlight them AND to have some great content for a few months. And so... that's how this all began.

Oh, and my dressing room? Because what girl wouldn't want to hangout in a room full of clothes, shoes, jewellery, etc. in one place, in all pink and white with a capiz chandelier from the Philippines hanging overhead? Okay, Dan the camera guy said it was the best room for the shoot ... and what a prefect Birthday gift(s) to me! Thanks girls!

SO here you go...

#4: My PASSION COACH, Eryn-Faye Frans

My girlfriend, Eryn-Faye Frans, is Canada’s Passion Coach® and she is a TON of fun to hang out with! You should hear the convos we have together! Ha! Her personal approach and conversational style as well as her research-based foundation, has created space for meaningful conversations about sexual intimacy. Yay!

She lives in the Greater Toronto Area with her spunky daughter and phenomenal husband.

#3: MY Full Circle Sister, Cheryl Weber

Having spent more than 20 years in broadcasting, Cheryl Weber is currently both an on air talent for "100 Huntley Street", as well as a passionate advocate for the poor, trafficked and oppressed in her role as International Producer for Crossroads Relief & Development.

Cheryl was also my AMAZING co-host and producer of our National Women's TV show, Full Circle. The show aired for six years as the Friday edition of 100 Huntley Street on Global TV and YES TV. It then aired daily on YES TV in its last and final year.

Cheryl and I have shared some pretty amazing experiences as we interviewed over 500 guests, built a home for Habitat for Humanity, participated in the Ride for Refuge, traveled with 75 fans of Full Circle to Israel, witnessed marriages, journeyed through my painful divorce, celebrated milestone Birthdays and Anniversaries and becoming a Nana, and grieved the loss of our friend and co-host, Rhonda. We were friends ... but after all those years, we became sisters.

Full Circle will always be one of my most CHERISHED experiences ... and as we said on so many of our shows, "It's all about connecting!"

Nadine Mitchell is Mom to Caleb, who has special needs. She is also Mom to Megan and Josh. She has been happily married to Randy for 25 years.

Her life has not been easy, but she lives each day with courage, grace, and a quiet strength that makes me speechless. Her life humbles me.

Her Faith is real, raw and authentic. She is my HERO and a HERO to so many others that know her.
